I’m not seeing the example you’re referring to, but I’m pretty sure this is due to the posters being an Artist Proof. This is pretty common within the poster artist community. Generally the artist will get a certain amount of first copies of the poster from the printer (say, 200), artist inspects everything, and signs them #/200. Then others are mass produced without signatures. Basically it’s like getting posters straight from the artist’s hands.
Whether it’s worth it is up to the buyer. Usually AP buyers are larger collectors.
Definitely makes sense. I saw where the signed ones all went in like 30 seconds or something. As for me - not a poster collector at all. In fact the two I bought are the first official tour posters I've ever bought, for any band. Got the Nashville one bc I had/have tickets to that show and bought the Baltimore one bc it was my favorite one of all the postponed shows. We're in the process of re-decorating our bonus room, so I thought those two would look great there. Can't wait to get them framed and hung up once they get here!

Your answer makes sense. I didn't know that stuff.
I was referring to the signed posters straight from Ames Bros being $100 vs. $35 from Ten Club.

I don’t know if concert poster collecting (outside of PJ) is still a huge thing or not. I feel like its peak in popularity was around 2000-2006, but has maintained a steadfast underground collector audience. I haven’t kept up at all since about mid-2000s. But artist proof posters (especially the big artists like Kozik, EMEK, Ames) were always selling on the eBay aftermarket for like 3-5x more than original prices.

Lol PJ fans
That stuff is so frustrating for the artists, but just something they have to live with I guess. Don’t know why they don’t set up their own auctions

To be fair. No one has bid on that.

Predictions for Tomorrow's newsletter:
- Seattle 8/8/18 is Vault #10
- Painted Shield pre-sale
- Something about voting
- Enter to win all of the posters for the cancelled shows

There's not going to be a vault release this year.

No vault release but of course there's a new Halloween shirt. Disappointing to say the least.

Holding out hope that they're going to press a new Vault and then announce/sell/ship as soon as they get them, and then we'll still recieve them ~January. A girl can dream!
