I was way, way off with most of my predictions for this year, but I realized today that I had picked KC to host PIT in the Divisional Round:

Well done, you.
I only picked 4/8 division winners, 6/12 playoff teams, and only 12 teams +/- 1 win in the standings (4 exact), so it wasn't exactly a banner year. But I'm pumped about that one thing I hit exactly!

Alright, I'll go on record, finally:
NFC
Seattle (hope I'm wrong; I'd love to see Atl take this)
Green Bay (this will be hard without Nelson, but the Pack are on fire right now, and I don't trust "star" rookies in the playoffs)
AFC
Kansas City (pleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease; I'm far from confident; won't be surprised if this doesn't go our way)
New England (hope I'm wrong; I'd much rather play the Texans at Arrowhead if the Chiefs can beat the Steelers)

From your lips to the football gods' ears.
Funny stat: So... last year the Chiefs beat Houston on the road in the wildcard round. The last time the Chiefs won a road playoff game before that...? They defeated Houston. Some fun symmetry there. Now, we've got a home playoff game. The last time the Chiefs won a home playoff game...? It was against, you guessed it, The Steelers.

I could see PIT/KC going either way. However, both teams are going to have a hell of a time if/when they have to go to Foxboro.

Totally agree on both points. The game this Sunday won't be a blowout either way. Whichever team wins, will win by a slim margin, I think. I'm thinking something like 24-21 (or more likely 24-22/25-21 because Steelers). I just don't like seeing people count out the Chiefs. They are good enough and dynamic enough to win this game. Doesn't mean they will, but I know they can.
Moving on to Foxboro... this might be the homer in me, but I do think the Chiefs have a better chance of beating the Pats than the Steelers do. Which is not to say that I like the Chiefs chances against the Pats. Either team is gonna have an uphill battle, for sure. But in terms of match-up, if I was a Pats fan... I'd much prefer to play the Steelers than the Chiefs.

To an empty stadium? Nah, glad they delayed it. I have friends going to the game and I would rather they not get into accidents on the way.

Oooo I really prefer night games to afternoon games; long weekend, too, so great excuse for some beers.

I'll go on record, too:
NFC
Seattle (I hope I'm wrong because Seattle is one of only two teams to beat the Pats this year)
Green Bay (Go with the hot team and QB)
AFC
Pitt (Andy Reid gave a full week off to the Chiefs? Are you crazy? They'll be so out of it at the start of the game.)
New England (Look, there is a chance the Texans win this. The overconfidence from NE fans and the nat'l and local media scares me.)

No kidding. Whatever.
I'll go ahead and choose to believe the NFL actually gives a good tin shit about players and fan safety. But really, we all know that at best this is a money grab and at worst (puts on his shiny tinfoil hat) it's the League doing everything in its power to help The Steelers and their big marquee players (Brown, Bell, Big). I hate when my mind devolves toward conspiracy. But it just... I'm clearly being absurd. But man it really feels like...
No, it's fan/player safety. It's fan/player safety.

Maybe. But he's done it three other times. And he's won all three of those times. So... if it ain't broke and all that.

Patriots at home in the playoffs with Brady are 15-2. Against the spread they are 9-8-1. I doubt they win by 17.
The formula for the Texans isn't really a formula they can plan for--one area the Patriots have had hiccups in this year is special teams. If Gostowski misses a <35 yard field goal or there's a muffed punt or something, I could see the Patriots (and us fans) start to sweat.
Seahawks
Patriots
Green Bay
Kansas City
