That portion of the shirt just says "Love Lenny Kravitz" so maybe it's an unrelated asideBirds in Hell wrote:Lenny Kravitz?

that's actually a reference to PJ's chief accounting officer, Len Kravitz

Re: HALL OF FAME!!!!!!
Ted Nugent is on that shirt.
*PS- Having not yet watched any of the ceremony clips, and only seeing a couple of photos from the stage and now backstage, it looks like Krusen's shirt is magnificently held in an unwavering "frat tuck" position throughout the entire evening, which is goddamned impressive.

Re: HALL OF FAME!!!!!!
I'd be in favor or rewinding the last 27 years and just keeping Krusen in the band the whole time. Except then we wouldn't have "Go" which makes this a really, really tough debate.

Jeff's hats, taken as a whole, have been were far more important to the band, as compared to any of the drummers except for Mr. Irons.spike wrote:Jeff's hat played drums on the demos, guys. That's why he was wearing it Friday night; it was inducted.Birds in Hell wrote:I think Friel only plays on one or two tracks on the first demo, Cameron's on drums for most of it.Anders wrote:True. However Dave K came in about the same time as Eddie did. Matt Cameron rehearsed the demos with the band first, and Chris Friel played on the original taped demos.Tuolumne wrote:I just watched the Dave Krusen performance again. It legitimately gave me the chills, especially when he was doing the drum fills during the solo and Ed was cheering him along.
The band has never been one of those bands like U2 or Green Day, where it's the same dudes from the very beginning. That's something special this particular band has never had, and really very few can ever maintain. That ended once Krusen left. Dave A basically arrived from industry contacts, while Jack and Matt have genuine connections but came later.
Krusen was the one jamming on Mookie Blaylock songs and resurrected the 'same 5 guys against the world' mentality they never really had. Pretty amazing to see it come back from the dead. I'll probably watch this performance alot.
Meanwhile Jack Irons introduced Eddie to the band. So it's not like Jack or Matt doesn't have the history with the band.

I've only seen the Letterman speech, I had higher expectations.
I'll check out the speech from the band sometime this week.

Re: HALL OF FAME!!!!!!
Hall of Fame ceremony was great. I can't believe I actually got to see Pearl Jam get inducted live. They were pretty great performing too - easily the best of the evening although Neal Schon can still shred. Wow.
With all of those live acts in a short period of time, Pearl Jam stood out because they are always playing live and can do it in their sleep. Dave K. was great to see as well. What a night that must have been for him - I imagine he has thought "what if" more than any person should over the years - how could you not?

I want to see the back side of Jeff's shirt.
I happen to know it has a similar list of guilty pleasures that aren't cool or hip and he'd never admit to listening to.
