Ripped open my calf muscle in a bike mishap. First bail I've taken since I began riding fixed gears nearly a decade ago.

I took a graceful dismount but because it's fixed gear the pedals don't just magically stop when you do. One of the metal teeth got me real good!

Anyway, I'm currently soaking my beaten ass in the ocean. Go Broncos.

Took my kids down to the skate park this morning. They discovered yesterday that they can do some of the smaller 'ramps' and so now they keen to keep going back. Threw some kettlebells around in the afternoon - then checked the local webcam. Waves were pretty shitty, but enough that I could take my girls and push them onto a few waves. Good day all round

At MiL's beach house. Looks like we have a roosting colony of bats in the roof space. Sealed off all obvious points of entry and made a bat escape flap but no bats used it last night.

Looks like they are getting in and out some other spot. You know they can get through an 8mm hole???

It's driving me a little crazy. I'm a bit obsessed. But no idea how I'm going to get rid of them. They are protected.
