With regards to the Pats, Bruins, Celts, ..... you've gotten to see them all get killed in championships during that same time period, with the 2007 Pats still owning the biggest choke in sports history.

Similar to Kawhi only wanting to play in LA? Once again, he's not a free agent. Some random team is going to make a serious run for him as a 1.5 year rental.

Yeah, I put that in a "Yankees up 3-0 on the Sox in the ALCS" type choke. Really, really bad and weak for a good team, but not an all time choke.

It kills me, but the Pats losing to the Giants and failing to unseat Miami with an undefeated season, unfortunately, will be the measuring stick for me, at least. Ugh.

That Pats/Giants SB is an all-timer for so many reasons. I've never been to a Super Bowl gathering before or since where most of the room stood for the final drive. Everyone wanted to see the Pats lose. I can't imagine how crushing it was for New Englanders.

I personally know one person who stopped watching football after that, and only recently returned to watching the NFL. He took like a 5 year break.

I couldn't tell if the heat just didn't take the Bulls seriously or if that weird collection of overpaid players they have just completely suck.

The lottery odds mean wins like this aren't a big deal except it is exactly the kind of win Boylen and Paxson beat their chests about (coming off a tough loss on a back to back, late flight in ect.)

Why would any NBA organization want to help out the Lakers? If I was the Pelicans I'd trade AD anywhere but the Lakers.

I don't understand why people aren't talking more about how LeBron is clearly sitting out even though he is healthy at this point. I hope the trade happens because that Lakers team still loses in the playoffs and long term it won't work. AD will eventually turn into the guy trying to drag Josh Hart to the the 8 seed. Only he STILL won't get any endorsements because nobody cares about a unibrowed freak who is boring af.

The Heat are good for this type of performance once every 7-10 days or so. It's a weird collection of overpaid players who don't suck, but there isn't a tremendous difference in talent from our best to like 10th best player, which sounds good until it's February and not only is there no semblance of a rotation, we don't even know who the starters are, really. We have guys who go a week with DNP-CD and then are starting or playing 30 mins. There aren't even really set units of these guys play with these other guys. And the contracts are so bad they're mostly untradeable. The Heat might end up just having to wait out these contracts.
