They'd be really dumb not to.
Also, Porzingas is upset about the Knicks losing? Give me a break.

It is the Pelicans we're talking about. They haven't exactly lit the world on fire with their moves to surround Davis with talent.

True, but they should obviously wait until the summer and hope the Knicks get the #1 pick or settle for Tatum.

Or wait for a crazy offer from someone else. Maybe that comes in the next few days, who knows?

Sure. It is of course possible they make a good deal in the next week, but it seems like the summer will be a better time.

The Knicks are not trading Zion for Davis. Any team would be stupid to do that. Davis is a great player but let's be real, he's barely been able to get his team to the playoffs and is hurt a lot.

Well that didn't take long. The Knicks are trash. Maybe the only organization more pathetic than the Bulls. Do they think Dennis Smith Jr is good?

They want that cap space to give leftover free agents the max!

This trade is the definition of putting the cart before the horse.

The Knicks franchise should be taken over by the association.

That was an unexpected trade. Does it seem like this is a clearing the decks move for a Davis trade on the Knicks part?

I mean, it would be a good trade for the Knicks if they could actually sign two Max guys in the off season but they won't.
Porzingis intends to sign the qualifying offer. Doesn't seem wild about being a Mav.

Why? That team has no chance to even make the playoffs and he won't resign.

Similar to Kawhi only wanting to play in LA? Once again, he's not a free agent. Some random team is going to make a serious run for him as a 1.5 year rental.

LeBron is back and looks crappy. This could be a wasted season for Lebron and for the first time it seems possible he could start breaking down soon.
