Probably cousins with the same morons who didn't vote for Ken Griffey, Jr.

In other news, Bob Uecker, man. How can you not love him?
I saw that his last words as a broadcaster were "That one had some sting on it." In reference to Pete Alonzo's home run that knocked the Brewers out of the playoffs. If that doesn't break your heart, I just don't know.

in whomever's defense, i will say that the rule about only voting for 10 people is ridiculous, and it forces some voters to spread their votes around. it could be that a voter here knew that ichiro would get in regardless of whether or not he got this particular vote, but felt that someone that is close to falling off the ballot deserves more consideration. and so she or he didn't vote for ichero so the other person could remain on the ballot. this happened to scott rolen; he got like 10% of the vote when he first appeared, and got his percentage all the up to 76% when he was voted in.
it may be imbecility, or it could be the rules.

The one person who didn’t vote for Ichiro deserves to be tarred and feathered.
The one person who didn’t vote for Jeter is an American hero.

Felix
Someone get me details on his run support and runs allowed. In wins, in losses, in no decisions.
Gotta be guys in the hall with a full run more (of support) per game thus way more wins, but comparable stats otherwise.
He signed a big extension with the M’s at one point. Very shitty M’s. And my first thought was either this guy is a masochist or the M’s have nudes.

It’s “RS” under “More Batter Ball” data on fangraphs:
