I think it's going to be a really solid album. Are you on album blackout?
Nope, I listened to these, but just once. Now they've been deleted and I'm waiting for the full release. But I liked what I heard. The fact that I liked these, and it seems that the other non-leaked songs are the expansive tracks (which I usually like more), makes me feel confident this one is going to edge out Backspacer/Riot Act/Self-Titled for me.

iTunes categorises these songs as 'Rock and Roll'.

A little part of me just died. We've come so far, haven't we?

I just realized my favorite part of Lightning bolt is that Betterman (live) turned out to be a joke.

They used to be 'Alternative Rock' or 'Hard Rock'.

I really don't think the iTunes categories mean much of anything. Also, "rock and roll" is the broadest possible term this side of "music", so relax.

Next they'll be rock/pop and then we'll truly be thrown into the abyss.

Seriously though itunes catogorizes shit to whatever you want it to/whatever the dude that had the files wanted to. You could label it hungarian polka metal.

I'm only kidding, Jorge. I'm not genuinely upset about iTunes categories.

Might do this so I can feel cooler about listening to it.

Pearl Jam really needs to add that 80s snare drum sound to all their songs.

And loads and loads of chorus on the guitars. The biggest problem might not be that BO'B adds cheese, it might be that he doesn't add enough of it. Don't be pussies Pearl Jam, if you want an 80s sound make it sound deliberate!

Again, I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek. But if you keep cementing your own opinions like this you could have a long road eventually..
