A hard sell to who? The big chunk of people think it would be more disgusting to have some chaotic, non-unified clusterfucked opposition to Trump. Most of the people who think the Biden admin has a deplorable record are voting for Trump no matter what, and the rest are a small minority anyway. They should have had a primary back in the winter/spring, but it's not necessarily nefarious for people to change their mind about Biden's fitness, where they are joe six-pack or some spooky power elite.

So small minorities don't matter? I don't agree with most people that think the last 4 years was a complete shit show are voting for Trump. Unfortunately in America most people don't vote. They may though if there was a more centered candidate.

They matter! But it would be a much harder sell to everyone else to have some disorganized dysfunctional process happen now. But we might get that anyway.

of the party to go on the attack pull campaign dollars for Biden to raise the white flag.
I believe Biden needs to resign. If he dropping out because all of a sudden he can't beat Trump that is very dangerous moving forward. Oh our candidate that was chosen in a democratic way is now polling poorly let's get a new one. Obviously Biden doesn't have faculties to do the job moving forward. So who is leading the country? To me this administration is a abject failure and should go down as one of the worst terms in history., but maybe that ship could be righted just a little.

I think the third bolded sentence mostly negates the concerns of the prior two. His senility and frailty or whatever you want to call it is getting worse. That's driving this.

I don't disagree. I am just making a point if this decline could have been hidden from the voting population he would still be in the race. This is not new he has been unwell a significant amount of time. It has been covered up.
So now that it can't be covered up they have pulled the plug on campaign. So based on the very recent history of the media and the dems telling us Biden is fine they have showed there hand. If they had faith in Harris he would have been article twenty-fived a year ago. That would have been a mess so they held on. I think we are in more agreement than the nuance of a forum can show though.
