even though i'm traveling to Europe for vacation I have to disclose where I'm going when traveling outside the US. That includes what countries/cities I'm visiting, the duration, and when I plan to return to the US. As part of that disclosure, we're encouraged to sign up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP), which keeps you up-to-date on security and safety for said country you're going to be visiting. It just so happened that Belgium popped up with a high security threat, so we called an audible and opted out of the day trip.

Spent like an hour trying to buy train tickets in Italy last night. Kept getting errors then we’d get timed out. Then payments wouldn’t work. What a painful process

You have no idea how excited I am to try the local meats and such. Well, maybe you do.

When are you off to Italy wease? Soon I assume if you are buying tickets for museums etc now. We are off there in mid September through mid October.

I too am looking forward to perusing and sampling the variety of smallgoods on offer.

When are you off to Italy wease? Soon I assume if you are buying tickets for museums etc now. We are off there in mid September through mid October.

I too am looking forward to perusing and sampling the variety of smallgoods on offer.

We’ll be there end of June-early July. We’re starting in Paris/France, then Italy, and from there, Greece.
