Most of those remarks are from the pJ20 book, and he says there that times goes by and you pick an album and change your mind...he uses Stone´s Emotional Rescue as an example that went from mmm no to fuck thats jamming! and i agree.

Stone pretty much poo-poos any chance of anything being played from it. I’m still hoping for Light Years, tho. It at least gets played every now and then.

Considering how terrible PJ can be at judging their best work, this is the greatest evidence yet that Binaural is one of their top records.

Yeah, it’s a shame that they had this 25th anniversary excuse and didn’t do something more substantial with the one album they really have so much great material sitting in the bank (granted much of it is on Lost Dogs). A reissue that expanded this into a double album would have been a big win for all.

didn't EV just go through a divorce? i thought that's what the whole album was about. i think stone was probably just pissed off eddie vedder was writing the best songs again.

The more I think about it the more I wish the band had gone down the road they started with Binaural and Riot Act. They were really doing interesting stuff—songwriting-wise and production-wise. Their turn back toward poppy, glossy stuff (relatively speaking) has given us good sings, but the album flow of Binaural/Riot Act is missing. For me at least.

theres two binaurals listed for some reason on apple music. the original mix has 14 tracks and the atmos mix has only 13 tracks.

some songs sound nearly identical while other songs got major upgrades

yes, Sleight of Hand is the clear winner so far with this new mix. To be fair, I listened on crappy earbuds on a flight, but that one stood out.

I recommended Binaural to a Pearl Jam skeptic. I said it’s the least “Eddie Vedder” album. The production really dials down the stereotypical Eddie Vedder vocal habits. She liked it, so I think it was a great call.

When I search for Binaural in youtube, I get this video. Is not fair.
