It's getting dark in here. This is an amazing beer:

So my friend who picked up the Mexican Cake for me at the release party flaked and kept it all for himself. Sorry Chris H2 and B, but I didn't even get any.

On a positive note, left my beer store today with:

Founders Harvest Ale
SN Celebration
Terrapin Chocolate Milk stout
Great Divide Yeti Oatmeal stout

Enjoying some of this today, on this cool, windy, cloudy fall day:

Grabbed a 4 pack of Founders Dark Penance. One sniff and I think this is gonna be a palate wrecker.

I really liked the first couple of years but now it seems to get maltier each year

This. In previous years I used to really look forward to this beer. Last year about 3 bottles ended up as drain pours because I sat on them for too long with no desire to drink them over other beers I had.

Yeah i just had a harvest ale last night. I gave the SN celebration to my brother afterwards, because I just want to continue drinking the harvest. Now if i could get someone to send me some Alaskan winter ale...
