Somehow this got all the way over from the UK in 6 days. Woo!Simple Torture wrote:Dipping my toe into the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds reissues and ordered "Arbatoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus" UK edition. I'm afraid it won't be released into the U.S., so I waited for the Amazon import price to come down a bit and pulled the trigger.

The 2M Red is a great cart at that price. I had one for a long time...actually still have it, just not using it right now.wtfisaledbetter? wrote: Some recent pickups, also just upgraded my cart and stylus to an Ortofon Red.
Yesterday I just received my new Dynavector 10x5 Cart in the mail which I will eventually install on my Rega TT. I heard it at the store playing on a high-end system and I was very impressed.

Compatible in the sense that they will fit? Not necessarily - there are different headshell mount styles and different sized carts will affect the vertical angle of the tonearm (i.e. it won't be level)Strat wrote:are all cartridges compatible with all tables?
A tougher question around compatibility is if the cart is a good sonic match for the table, which is usually dependent on the mass of the tonearm. It seems like people like Denon, Shure, or Audio-Technica carts with Technics turntables.

I want to know what makes you happy. And I mean that.
And yes, I would love nothing more than to have Stereo/Mono, Folker and Come Feel Me Tremble, and Suicaine.
Ok, all of them.

This would make me happy. His earlier solo albums aren't really essential enough for me to crave on vinyl.Strat wrote:verb_to_trust wrote:Wake me up when he presses Stereo....... or even FolkerStrat wrote:Good few days at the record store, no doubt! Super pumped about having some PW vinyl now too
