After all that, we didn’t get Bull Black Nova. He played Mystery Binds (for the first time ever) instead. It was great.

I should listen more to Wilco. Used be one of the bands I listened to the most, but have barely paid attention to them in the last few years.

This was a misleading first impression. I’ve been listening to this the past couple days (got a physical copy for Christmas), and I am finding myself completely sucked into it — as a collection of soundscapes at first, but they turn out to be soundscapes that mature, emotionally sophisticated songs slowly but surely blossom out of.
