that woman should be put on the No Fly List ... she basically pulled a hijacker move by making the plane go back to the gate

but seriously,

people just need to bear in mind that when they are boarding flights in Philadelphia, they are boarding a plane in the lowest circle of hell; and there will be a lot of people who look like they might want to destroy this country, because they effectively are destroying this country by simple virtue of being Philadelphians, a sub-species so vile they make honey boo boo look like the dowager from downton abbey

Given the state of journalism these days, they're really just following the trend. Except I guess in that screenshot they seem to be using fewer clickbait titles than Time magazine, so.

The Citadel announced on Tuesday that it had denied a prospective student permission to wear a hijab with her uniform, ending a nearly monthlong period of considering what would have been the first change to the 174-year-old institution’s uniforms.

The Citadel’s president, Lt. Gen. John Rosa, said that while the college in Charleston, S.C., often arranged for transportation to religious services and made accommodations for prayer and diets based on religion, it would stop short of changing the uniform. He added that officials hoped the student would still attend.

“As the Military College of South Carolina, the Citadel has relied upon a highly effective educational model requiring all cadets to adopt a common uniform,” General Rosa said. “Uniformity is the cornerstone of this four-year leader development model.”

But a spokesman for the family, Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said Tuesday that the student would not attend the college because she had been denied her religious rights.

Mr. Hooper, who said he had spoken with the student’s father, described her as heartbroken and in tears when she learned of the Citadel’s decision, which he said stood in opposition to past decisions by the military to accommodate religious dress.

He also said all legal options were being considered and expressed confidence that the decision would be challenged in court. “We just can’t leave an unconstitutional, and frankly un-American, policy to stand,” he said.

The married Alabama governor, who's very social conservative and frequently spoke of being pro-family, seems to have had a long affair with an assistant, who despite being on the payroll no one knew exactly what she did. There's several audio recordings between that at the very least sound inappropiate. You have a fired head of Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a former long time friend of the governor, who had a tell it all press conference. The governor is facing impeachment for various cover-ups, not all related to the affair. Those proceedings would be presided over by the Speaker of the House, who has 23 felony ethics charges against himself. Jury selection has begun for his trial and the governor could well be summoned as a witness. Meanwhile the Chief Justice, who has already been thrown out of office once, may be removed again for violating judicial ethics. And now there's a small town drag queen involved, who's taken to publically heckling the Chief Justice. He responded by singling her out & saying she was crazy and mentally ill. You should not make a drag queen angry.
I can't wait for the movie that's inevitably coming.

Apparently the gay pastor who got a cake from Whole Foods with a derogatory slur on it faked it. So Trump was right.

It seems that most things labelled 'hate crimes' or equivalent end up being hoaxes, at least of the portion than end up as national news. You'd think that with Trump as the nominee there'd be a rash of KKK cross burnings or something...

This is so bizarre. Canadian ambassador to ireland Kevin Vickers (the 'hero' guy who shot that gun man in their parliament) yesterday assaulted a peaceful protestor at a 1916 memorial here in a national cemetery. 45 police officers (and any amount of soliders) were there and let the protesor guy be, he was just being a mouth. but Rambo Vickers takes it upon himself to assault the protestor. And the protestor gets arrested???!?

Fuck. Off. :haha:

The guy clearly has some narcissistic hero thing going on. Or PTSD.
Canadian PM was interviewed on radio here earlier and he's not best pleased putting it lightly.

So the story gets some coverage in Canada...and they portrayed him as a hero and gave no context whatsoever! Nor mentioned he's completely out of bounds assaulting the guy never mind directly interesting with a legitimate democratic right to protest. And he's all but bragging about it on Twitter!
I hope he gets recalled and dismissed. We'll see. What you guys think?
