they'll win a few more than that...they can take care of the rangers coming in to town but going to San Diego is going to be tough
Yeah but the 102 other games have me more worried

Alex Bergman’s April has been insane:
.331/.401/.570
6 HR
11 2B
23 RBI
Has another HR tonight not included in those stats.

Here’s the angle on today’s news that we were all waiting for: the Pope is a White Sox fan, originally from the south suburbs.

Anyway, yes it is a great article. I have a young ball player who is interested in pitching and I would love it if this kind of mentality would spread just for the sake of health, longevity, and a more diverse way to earn respect as a young player. Also, kind of like my thinking with the whole torpedo bat hubbub--seems like the most valuable thing a pitcher could do these days is pitch to soft contact which would be much more about varying speed and location than ripping your arm apart.
Also, I had a real American Idol-type lightbulb moment when the article mentioned it being cheaper to burn through anonymous relievers than develop lasting talent. Whenever the machine takes over, it just needs fresh meat to keep making a product. American Idol would churn through singers and get astronomically more from them than the singers received. Baseball seems to have caught on to the same game and that's really too bad. It's a creepy, predatory vibe.
