How do you feel about the early draft, “a man feels afraid?”

is it the orchestra?
or how he says Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiaiaaayad?
or the notion that a man needs a maid?
Personally I have no problem with it

What about the even earlier version, "You Have to Admit, It Would Be Nice to Have a Maid"?

Getting close to 6 months currently a no-skips album. Bottom songs are 3.5 at their lowest

1. Waiting for Stevie (top 10 catalog)
2. Setting Sun
3. Wreckage (bumped up two spots - if the ending was a little tighter it might even move ahead of setting sun)
4. Dark Matter
5. Scared of Fear (dropped a bit. Still probably 5 stars)

6. Running
7. React Respond (4.5 star songs. Running is so good at what it is)

8. Upper Hand
9. Won't tell (4.5 - 4 star range, depending on the day)

10. Something Special
11. Got to Give (these are probably 4.0 songs most days. Maybe they dip to 3.5. They aren't the ones I feel the need to hear, but I enjoy every time they're on)

Since Vitalogy gets messed up by the art/filler tracks this is actually the only pearl jam album I can give 4+ stars to everything

Gonna play follow the leader:

1. Waiting For Stevie (all-timer)
2. Setting Sun
3. Upper Hand
4. Got to Give

5. React Respond
6. Won't Tell

7. Scared of Fear
8. Wreckage

9. Dark Matter

10. Something Special
11. Running

The top 8 are songs that I pretty much wanna hear any old time. DM is just not always what I want as it can be pretty abrasive. Something Special is inoffensive. Running is a great bridge with "eh" built around it, as far as I'm concerned.

it's oddly validating to see the bottom of KD's list not especially dissimilar from mine.

My first DM ranking

-React, respond
-Setting Sun
-Got to Give
-Upper Hand
-Won't tell
-Dark Matter
-Stevie
-Scared of Fear
-Wreckage

-Running

-Something Special

Something special is the only that would have made a great b-side. It just feels out of place. Someday we will hear an DM outtake and we all go like 'damn, this should have replaced 'Something Special'

Waiting for Stevie (radio edit) just released as the new single!

https://open.spotify.com/track/2K1O1b3x ... gPQH74ZMEw

Seems to me like a slightly different mix. And the edit part is mostly just a fade-out where the solo would be.
