By the way, they (partly) already do this. This is how playoff crews are assigned.
You should follow Umpire Scorecards on twitter or whatever. it's pretty eye opening.
I miss the double switch too...I also miss whitey herzog..

The first game my older brother went to at Fenway included Boggs' 2000th hit.

Will Smith is the only player in the National League with a batting average over .300.

Mattingly was public enemy number one in Toronto for the past couple seasons when he was the hitting coach and he was the scapegoat for all their offensive troubles. Now that he's moved to bench coach this season, the offense has been great and we're free to love Donny Baseball again.
Another big series against the Yankees starting tomorrow!

so blue jays fans really think a hitting coach was holding them back? because the offensive metrics are pretty similar with Mattingly at the helm. they still don't hit for power and they take fewer walks. it's just that they're making more contact and strike out fewer times, which i'm guessing he also stressed.

Only the dumbest and loudest fans. I, of course, never blamed Donny for anything because I am a much more sophisticated baseball fan.
