It's a little disheartening to see that Ed is credited with the majority of the songs. The frankensongwriting is strong in that one.

Two Jeff songs (plus his contribution to DotC) is a great, great thing.

I'm assuming Ed word salad won't get worse than SBWM because Josh seems to be reining these things in a bit; but I'm prepared to uuuh... eat, my words, like salad

Even if he wrote ten songs for Gigaton, Ed has to «feel» the song, and write lyrics for it.

And those songs have been average or worse. I imagine if he was coming to the table with Daughter or Hail, Hail he would have more songs on records.

Supersonic and LTRP are clearly mostly unpopular here, but overall that’s a strong group of songs. DOTC as well.

Yeah i would say those two are my least favorite from the bunch. Moonlander is great and im expecting that other album he was supposed to release soon.

Vindicator wrote:Seems like Ed was pretty prolific this time around, writing Who Ever Said, SBWM, Never Destination, Comes Then Goes and River Cross.

Ed wrote 5 out of the 12 songs.

Jeff wrote 2.

Stone 1.

Matt 1

Mike 1.

DOTC was a full band effort and Seven O Clock I'm not sure who gets the credit there, only that it originated from a jam session.
:hooray: Great scenario
Eh, I don't know I have tempered expectations on these Ed tracks. Never Destination could be a word shit salad like SBWM. Comes Then Goes could be a boring Ed solo acoustic track. Who Ever Said I'm REALLY hoping delivers an awesome PJ track I've been waiting for, but it may turn out more The Getaway or something like that. And River Cross we pretty much know what it is, a nice Ed track.
Superblood Wolfmoon’s lyrics are quite good, everyone

I don't know why but when I think of "acoustic aggression" I think of "Far Behind" from ITW

This is precisely what I thought of.

Thank heavens Brie Larson was available to save India from itself
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Far Behind is a good example of a good solo ed number...i think the vibe of the new song is more near Off He Goes though
