That or we could take out our gigaton waiting angst by keeping it going. Either way.
i thought you didn't 'plan to waste any more time with me'?

seems instead like you want to go

you want a shot at the title?

is that what you want?

a title shot?

No, there's really nowhere else to go with it.

plat, your rebuttal?
I just listened again and it still feels half-assed and boring to me but I love that you guys love it, so I've stopped talking about it here. Except now... but only because you asked
Look, plat, if a lot of people have the same opinion, the world is a more boring place, so don't worry about it

Avoided the song for a day so I wouldn’t burn myself out, but this song still rules.

they've been playing this on the rock radio station around here a lot since release. heard the DJ intro to it today, and went something like (paraphrasing): "Pearl Jam announced a new album for March 27th, and just dropped their new song Dance Of The Clairvoyants earlier this week. We've been seeing a lot of comments on our facebook, and getting a lot of calls, with people complaining that this isn't your typical Pearl Jam, that it's weird. I say, it rocks. They are doing their thing, and I love it. Here's the new song..."

The production on this song is aces...I can't remember another PJ song where the production is such a key element. And he nails it. The outro goes on for two minutes but I'm always a bit sad when it ends.

Imagine the type of person that not only listens to rock radio on the regular, but calls in to complain when a band doesn't sound like their classic rock staple cuts anymore.

The thought of it is so cringeworthy, like I've lost all hope for these people

I finally got my new Sonos "Move" speaker (brag) out from Christmas and blasted Dance a few times...shook the room.....my five year old daughter and I were dancin' all over the place. So much fun. I'm diggin' this song....

there's a lot to like about this, the lyrics have a lot to think about (it's about time), and I love the confidence to lead with it instead of something like "The Fixer"; it suggests possibly good things coming

Dotc is great but are you guys looking forward to the mix of styles upcoming on gigaton or no? Can't get into any classic guitar solos at all or keyboard solos? Stairway to Heaven guitar solo (not talking the song, just the solo)? Some of those longer Doors tunes with the keyboard solos? No pink floyd instrumental sections? No classic rock love at all?
