i wonder if after all the songs are revealed, if they will post the art for the back cover with the songs in order

I guess, if they DO what they should do with "Let the Records Play", it could be a great song. But I can't escape the fear of a second Supersonic. When I have the album I'm going to listen to that track first, anyway. At the moment it represents for me the greatest chance of this album sucking.

"Let the Records Play" has to be the song with handclaps, right? I hope they go all disco / funk on us.

I dont get why theres so much Pearl Jam dissing on here arent we all PJ fans? cant we just enjoy there music for what it is. Like Backspacer how many of you diss that album? Its a good album, its not there greatest but I enjoy it just like I do all there albums. Whatever this album is about im sure its gonna Rock. Pearl Jam will not let us down.

probably, since they will only have one piece of artwork for the last day (assuming they do not just repeat MYM)

supersonic does suck, but GSMF and Spin the black Circle are similar and both awesome

You've answered your own question. Some people don't like Backspacer much. Now can people stop saying "Why do people have a different opinion to mine? Do they have to?"

in fairness though, most people probably have been let down at some point by pearl jam. Every artist I love has produced material i don't like

nice first post, i agree that all of PJs albums are good or great, including backspacer, but not everyone is satisfied just having faith, weve gotta figure out why it might suck before we even get a chance to hear it

As I said before your telling me you cant put on supersonic crank the volume and enjoy it? Its not that bad of a song i enjoy it. Im sure let the records play wont be the same its a different album, a different song, when has pearl jam done 2 of the same songs before? Not often.

I wish I was still at the stage where I could say "Pearl Jam will not let us down."

But cant we all agree that Pearl Jam has stuck to there beliefs and has stayed true enough to there fans kept there sound going for over 20 years and guys i just have a feeling about this album. I think its gonna be up there with Ten and Vs. Completely different style but i think its gonna be a killer album.

Lol Supersonics really not that horrible. Go listen to some chump bands like Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman or Foo Fighters or something lame like that then come back and tell me Supersonics horrible because truely it blows most music now days away

I admire your optimism.

But yes, Supersonic is a horrible song (imo of course). While I certainly go into every release wanting to love it, there comes a point where you just can't fool yourself. Supersonic is just the most flaccid thing they've ever recorded and no amount of ideology will help me overcome that.
