I'm mystified too.

His films are terrible.

I realise this is not his fault but he also has a hugely annoying face.
I love how you are able to so diplomatic, even when criticising someone's face :haha: :nice:

Say Anything: A
Singles: B
Jerry Maguire: A-
Almost Famous: A-
Vanilla Sky: B+

We Bought a Zoo: D
Aloha: D+
Roadies: EDIT: watched it, C- (but almost got an A+ for its use of Given to Fly)
FTFY

I will say both Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous have not aged well AT ALL, but I used to love them so much with all my heart I refuse to drop them in grade.

PJ20 was solid but a real missed opportunity in many ways.

When all is said and done, his purest statement is Say Anything.

Also, he gets points for writing Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Surprised Singles isn't better rated here. That and Say Anything are classics.

Cameron Crow in order:

1. Say Anything (all time classic)
.
2. Vanilla Sky (way underrated movie. I think it's a gem)
.
3. Singles
.
4. Jerry Maguire
5. Almost Famous
.
.
^-----and this is the full Cameron Crowe filmography as far as I'm concerned-----^
.
.
.
6. PJ20 (this would probably be much higher if I wasn't such a PJ fan. The casual music listener who isn't crazy about PJ would probably think this is a great rock doc. Watching the movie pissed me off more than anything since it should have been so different
.
.
.
.
.
7. E-Town (this is how we refer to this sleepy city 'round these parts in Kentucky - movie sucked, though)
.
8. Aloha (just plain blew)
.
.
.
.
9. We Bought a Zoo (WTF?)

Never saw The Union

Ed drops in on the Sting / Peter Gabriel concert at Key Arena tonight. Crowd goes nuts.

The guy can pretty much do anything he wants to at this point.

I'd go:

Say Anything: A+
Singles: A-
Jerry Maguire: B-
Almost Famous: A+
Vanilla Sky: A-/B+
Pearl Jam Twenty: A

Those are the only Crowe movies I've seen.

But, yeah, I guess I like him well enough.
