sorry I missed the obviously blatant connection between Jon Snow and the Targaryens because I didn't read the fucking huffington post.
if you want to avoid GoT speculation, if it's really going to ruin the show for you, i suggest avoiding the fucking GoT thread because it's always been 90% speculation.
You posted something that reads as a fact based on an article that contains the disclaimer that it contains spoilers from the books. I didn't think I was asking too much for people to hit the spoiler link.

dude, that article doesn't contain any spoilers. it just attempts to connect the dots a bit using stuff in the latest episode.

Sorry, I have to disagree with you on this one. You appealed to the "nerds" because evidently you didn't think it was intuitive from what we already know from the shows. And as I said, you weren't even speculating -- you were passing something off as a matter of fact based on what you read in an article, not what you saw on the shows. Your post went beyond "hey guys, just speculating here, but do you think there's any connection between ... ?"

i found the article later because it was a nice little synopsis of the R+L=J theory as it relates to the latest episode, saving me from having to type it out. the theory is pretty well known among readers and watchers, and besides, that's all it is - a theory. just because i pass it off as a matter of fact doesn't mean it isn't speculation. it may feel like a spoiler, but it isn't spoiling anything, because it isn't anything that's been written down in a book or tv script.

Yeah, I went and reread my exchange with paaks, and spike's side is pretty similar to his.

if you say his name a 3rd time, he'll appear and spoil another aspect of the series

now that the show's running out of book, i suspect the show will make jon snow into much more of a hero/savior than the books will.

All I know is that I'm going to be livid in 2 years when they reveal Jon Snow's lineage and I already know it because ... you know ... Pearl Jam.
