Two of my favorites. Shame on Joey if he didn't already have RT covered.

Yeah, I've given him RT already. I don't know if he's gotten around to him yet or not, but it's been well established that it needs to happen.

For reference, he's been listening to a lot of Jason Isbell and wants to explore in that direction.

Birds in Hell wrote:Are you guys saying I'm wildly off-base? There's probably a good chance that's true, it's been a while since I saw the film (and I usually don't tend to finish it when it happens to be on because it drives me so nuts).

Perhaps it's that 'awesome rock n' roll outlaw' kind of rock mythology that I have a problem with in general and the film is just another example of that being reflected in popular culture.
I'm not saying you're way off base. The elements you're talking about exist in the film, for sure. However, I don't think the ultimate point of the movie is to glorify them. I actually a big part of the journey of the main character is seeing through and letting go of those myths and seeing shit for what it is.
Come on, Spenno. That's like saying that "Kids" glorifies AIDS or that "A Clockwork Orange" glorifies raping and killing people. Sometimes there is a moral to the story.

One of my favorite moments in music: The way Black Sabbath's Sabotage opens with a quiet pause followed by the explosive burst of "Hole in the Sky" kicking into gear. Fucking exhilarating.
