The fact that you can get SRV's buttery bluesy tones to some of the best punk rock shit out of them .....strats are pretty cool, guys.

i think fenders in general are pretty unforgiving. You can't really hide behind much with them. Theyre fun to play.

I don't know, but Fenders back in the 50s/60s used to ship with 12-52 strings as standard.

The normal Strat bridge should handle heavier gauges without breaking a sweat.

He also tuned down 1/2 step so that probably eases some tension with 13 gauge

I keep browsing guitars and they’re all over my FB feed so kinda hard to avoid.
