Dime, most of us are Americans. We're just impressed the cops didn't kill the protester.

The hero portrayal was what I heard immediately after it happened, but the Canadian media coverage around it ever since has been decidedly negative.dimejinky99 wrote:![]()
This is so bizarre. Canadian ambassador to ireland Kevin Vickers (the 'hero' guy who shot that gun man in their parliament) yesterday assaulted a peaceful protestor at a 1916 memorial here in a national cemetery. 45 police officers (and any amount of soliders) were there and let the protesor guy be, he was just being a mouth. but Rambo Vickers takes it upon himself to assault the protestor. And the protestor gets arrested???!?
Fuck. Off.![]()
The guy clearly has some narcissistic hero thing going on. Or PTSD.
Canadian PM was interviewed on radio here earlier and he's not best pleased putting it lightly.
So the story gets some coverage in Canada...and they portrayed him as a hero and gave no context whatsoever! Nor mentioned he's completely out of bounds assaulting the guy never mind directly interesting with a legitimate democratic right to protest. And he's all but bragging about it on Twitter!
I hope he gets recalled and dismissed. We'll see. What you guys think?

Not rapey. They removed those rapey charges a long time ago.Stickman wrote: That rapey swimmer is sure getting some press

According to the nightly news, the D.A. has excluded the judge in question from presiding over any more sexual assault cases, and there is a petition circulating that needs 75,000 signatures to have him permanently removed from the bench, which looks like it might easily succeed.Stickman wrote: That rapey swimmer is sure getting some press

The night club massacre and the murder of a celebrity by a stalker happened barely minutes and miles apart and were completely unrelated. The next day, a 2-year old was snatched by a crocodile while wading in low water at Disney World. These were all major news stories.tragabigzanda wrote:I'm missing one.
