went to the farmers market this morning and stocked up...hit up the local butcher that shows up there and got a brisket and some beef cheeks to braise for a stew on Tuesday...the rest of today is just watching baseball and golf and my wife is going out with a friend to watch the devil wears prada 2..

basically no good bbq places up here and they dont serve it...its been a tough first year

left hip surgery was scheduled for Oct 5th
moved up to Aug 20th

All right!

had the first appointment this morning at the Canadian version of the DMV...been there before for DL but they wanted driving records for the last 10 years from California to lower our costs a bit for insurance..the girl at the counter was the worst and said I needed different records that were sent to me..so I had to print off a form, fill it out and find a check to write for $5 and mail it to Sacramento and just wait...not a good way to start the day..anyway, headed downtown to shop, eat and drink soon and make it better

my pool has been open a couple weeks but it's been too cold outside to go in

No maids currently. The house is being rented out regularly on airbnb so there is a cleaning staff that comes in after guests leave, but there are no reservations for the rest of the month so the house is just empty
