They should post notice and give a date for strike walk out. That’d end the shut down really quickly.

Most are classed "essential" so they have consented to work in situations like this.

That’s going above and beyond and fair play to them for doing that.
But notice served on a national strike would see that bye happen quickly else the whole country grinds to a halt. They have the lower to do that. They should.
