OMG it was amazing. I had an inclining, based on the metal door leak, that the material beyond the prerelease tracks had the potential to be far better than the stuff we had heard. That was indeed my experience, first in the record store (one of the greatest PJ experiences of my life) and then later with my gf at the screening.

These ratings seem very generous.

How many 5 star songs do Pearl Jam have across the whole catalog?

I think I'd say around 15, maybe a few less/more.

Really?

I'd say at least three per record. Many have more.

I think a few records have two five star songs, probably Vs (Animal, Daughter) and Vitalogy (Last Exit, Tremor Christ).

I'm not sure Ten has a five star song.

There's tons more four star songs for me.

Hmm, let’s see:

Alone
Animal
Daughter
Last Exit
Tremor Christ
Hail, Hail
Faithfull
Do the Evolution
Evacuation

Maybe I overestimated!

There are many four star songs right behind the above, including a lot of my favourites.

No joke, if it weren’t for RM I definitely wouldn’t have ever heard the last few Pearl Jam records or be seeing them play in a few weeks’ time.

It’s not the quality of the band’s output keeping me engaged.

(This is a compliment to the community here, at least I think so.)

We think so, too. Thank you, friend. And I mean it... I'm glad you're around.

I think Gigaton has three solid four star songs (WES, DOTC and TTLW) which is pretty remarkable, all things considered.

Pure joy. I was optimistic going in but not a big fan of the prerelease tracks. Wreckage was the first prerelease song i heard that i loved.

I mean it might be a touch generous...but this has been my favorite band for 30+ years for a reason....

But to your point i do not rank any of the songs on Avocado-Backspacer-Lightning Bolt at 5 stars.

Three solid four star songs that you never would have heard if it weren't for us. So YOU'RE WELCOME.
