That last episode wasn’t great.

Exactly. Combine that with the fact the we know they were filming well before Pascal was cast, and some "inside" stuff that I've heard from people in the industry, I'm confident he's not in the suit a lot. It's one of the reasons (silly as it may sound -- I talked about this with Bune back before the show aired in this very thread) I wasn't looking forward to the show.

I'm not sure at what point (if ever) Pascal wears the suit. But I know that's not him in the Pilot. And I have no reason to doubt Howard.

It's fine. Nick Nolte isn't actually an Ugnaught either.

How is he still getting top billing then? And who’s in the suit and no credit for them?

Well, it is one of the reasons why I'm sure he'll take his helmet off at some point. Why get a known actor for the role if he is never going to reveal himself?

"It’s actually the work of two credited doubles, Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder. Howard said that she mostly worked with Wayne, who, as it turns out, is the grandson of Hollywood legend John Wayne."

All kinds of info in that shitty article.

Yeah, of course the helmet will be off at some point in this season.

The de-aging on Hamill looked like shit in this episode.

Good episode, but again, not moving anything along. If this is going to be a stand alone each episode type of show, that's fine. But get rid of baby Yoda.

Also lol at the gungan reference

Y'all better settle in for a long, slow burn on the "Mandalorian/Baby Yoda" details. This is going to be a villian-of-the-week show with a very slow serial thread.

And that was a great episode. No reason to ditch Baby Yoda. He adds a level of stress and suspense that you wouldn't have if it was just the Mandalorian. I'm never worried about the Mandalorian, but there's a lot of stress when he's in peril and you have to think, "Holy shit! If he doesn't get out of this quickly, what's going to happen to Baby Yoda!!"

I still haven't watched last week's ep (so I obviously haven't seen this one) but there's no way anything bad happens to LBY. 0%

How are you ever worried about him?

Yup. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

but there's only two episodes left so the long slow burn is roughly an hour, give or take credits length.

Dunno what to make of that one but this is obviously headed for a cliffhanger ending.
Spoiler: show
Reckon it’s boba Fett we saw last week at the end. And he’ll get the baby off mando. Into season two we go
