I think so, yes. Not as good as Riot Act or Yield, but better than S/T and Backspacer (so far).Thejambi wrote:This seems pretty good on the compression scale yes?

this is essentially where i'm at.verb_to_trust wrote:This is a lot better than what I expected, and the artwork is cool too. Lighting Bolt is still a stupid name, though. I've said all along it would be great if Pearl Jam could do something similar in quality to what Soundgarden did with King Animal. They are off to a good start as I rate MYM above Been Away Too Long.
compression nerds, let's see some comparisons to last two albums please.Thejambi wrote:This seems pretty good on the compression scale yes?
maybe i am secretly Sgt. Crackpot.Sgt. Crackpot wrote:I'm just glad it's not a pop song. Sure it's another punk style song that they always seem to launch as their lead single these days, but there are elements to this song that I like. It's less shiny than the Fixer, and heavier without being too abrasive like comatose. Let's just see how it goes after hearing a few more times.
No.Thejambi wrote:This seems pretty good on the compression scale yes?
Yes, please. It seems to sound better to me on my headphones. But maybe that's the honeymoon talking.evenslow wrote:compression nerds, let's see some comparisons to last two albums please.Thejambi wrote:This seems pretty good on the compression scale yes?
I don't know, that's a whole lotta gifs for one man to come up with.BurtReynolds wrote:maybe i am secretly Sgt. Crackpot.Sgt. Crackpot wrote:I'm just glad it's not a pop song. even if the key word here is "scale"?McParadigm wrote:No.Thejambi wrote:This seems pretty good on the compression scale yes?
Sounds good to me on headphones but I'm nowhere near as nerdy about sound as some people on here. Nothing is as distracting as S/T volume-wise. That album would distort if it was loud. This doesn't, at least not in my headphones.durdencommatyler wrote:Yes, please. It seems to sound better to me on my headphones. Yes. I'm excited to hear the rest. This will be a long three months.stupidmop wrote:Now that we know the 2nd clip on that tour vid is MYM does that make it seem more likely that the first clip is also on the album?
Maybe I'm a apparition that's sourced from the combination of all of the members of this board. You could say, there's a little bit of all of you inside me.evenslow wrote:I don't know, that's a whole lotta gifs for one man to come up with.BurtReynolds wrote:maybe i am secretly Sgt. Same. At least we'll have fake tracklists to tide us over. 3 months worth of fake tracklists.harmless wrote:Yes. I'm excited to hear the rest. That surprises me. I'm not sure why it sounds better to me. But then I haven't listened to an album through yet so...McParadigm wrote:Here's what I see:harmless wrote:Sounds good to me on headphones but I'm nowhere near as nerdy about sound as some people on here.
