I'd really like to see some local bands open for PJ. It would be good thing to do for aspiring artists and a good PR move as well. I'd love to see something like Jimmy's Chicken Shack open for PJ in Baltimore. The place would go berserk.
I am just surprised we don't know yet. The first show is 9 days from today. I don't think they have ever cut it this close before.

Or there are no openers and it's just an evening with pearl jam as some have said a month ago.

"an evening w/ pearl jam" as in acoustic first set, or just no opener?Strat wrote:Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:i dont know that they would have forgotten to book them, but forgetting to announce them maybegiven2trade wrote:I'm not even kidding when I say maybe they forgot? the two shows this summer were each "an evening with pearl jam", and there was no acoustic set - just a regular show from the looks of it.warehouse wrote:"an evening w/ pearl jam" as in acoustic first set, or just no opener?Strat wrote:Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:i dont know that they would have forgotten to book them, but forgetting to announce them maybegiven2trade wrote:I'm not even kidding when I say maybe they forgot? Sure. If you call phoning it in "playing a show"warehouse wrote:they played 2 shows this summer?Strat wrote:dprival78 wrote:the two shows this summer were each "an evening with pearl jam", and there was no acoustic set - just a regular show from the looks of it.warehouse wrote:"an evening w/ pearl jam" as in acoustic first set, or just no opener?Strat wrote:Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:i dont know that they would have forgotten to book them, but forgetting to announce them maybegiven2trade wrote:I'm not even kidding when I say maybe they forgot? The only two Wrigley performances I've seen are the ones of the two new songs, and they put me off searching for any more.

Wrigley had it's moments. There was a really good stretch when they first came back from the delay (All Night-DTE-Setting Forth-Corduroy-Faithfull-Mind Your Manners-Lightning Bolt-State of Love & Trust). Crown of Thorn was majestic. The rest was pretty hit or miss though, with some of the misses (All The Way, Eruption, Future Days, Mother) being pretty glaring.

Yeah, All Night to SOLAT sounds good. Am I right in thinking you liked the sound of LB? If so you should be alright with the studio version, fingers crossed.Lament wrote:Wrigley had it's moments. Re: Fall 2013 North American Tour
Yeah, I think I wrote in the thread when I got back from the show that it definitely had me in its grip from the get go, and while I found the chorus to be inappropriately awkward and lazy live, it was very possible that what was turning me off so much about the chorus was more the result of Ed botching the performance than it actually being as poorly written a chorus as it seemed to be. I'm almost positive I voted "Like it" in the thread.harmless wrote:Yeah, All Night to SOLAT sounds good. Am I right in thinking you liked the sound of LB?
