No offense intended, I promise you. I know this is a fully loaded, triggering topic, and I have nothing against trans or any sexual orientation, you have my full support in how you live your life. But what is wrong with stopping at "guy who identifies as girl"? Why is that taboo?

there are people who do, as well as bi-gender people, who are both guy and girl; but it's bad practice, and dangerous, to use that language for others without their consent; a person's gender is what they say it is, that's all we need to know

and a whole other discussion around how cis people get to just *be* a guy or a girl, while trans people are lumped with "identifies as" language; it's othering

it took me years to have the courage to say "I am a woman" to anybody; I spent a while before saying I "identified as" because it felt safer for me and less controversial to other people

As far as personal sexual identity goes, I identify as a straight male. But I also relate to and identify with women and the feminine. I've talked about this before. I am not a woman. But I am feminine. I have no idea if there is a word for that but it's where my ideology/identity rests. I used to use the word feminist but that somehow doesn't seem right either. I have no idea what the correct association/identifier is.

Does this mean you wear ladies’ undergarments?

I do not. However, I do want desperately to wear skirts and dresses and fully admit that the only reason I don't is societal BS.

No diagnosis. But I've often wondered if I were on the spectrum. I am very literal and struggle in social situations to you know.. vibe with people and stuff. If nothing else, I'm definitely the most introverted person I've ever known, which can look like autism. But I'm not sure wanting to know what a word means is an autistic quality.

I think that struggling with the potential subjectivity of words can be an autistic trait; I have Hydrocephalus, which gives me almost opposite problems; I want *all* words and ideas and concepts to bend every which way sometimes, and I can speak in ways that seem frustratingly vague to my autistic friends (and partner); we often have to go over our conversations so that we're not talking over one another and we have a mutual understanding
