The shots I heard were gas bombs and flash bombs. Couple people are being arrested.

This shit is really hard to explain to my kids. We made my 8 year old cry at the dinner table trying to explain white privilege.

Anytime there is civil unrest on last night's scale in this country it hurts. My mom grew up in Minneapolis and I have many relatives scattered through the area. I am familiar enough with the Twin Cities that it is not just some random large metropolitan area to me. On a personal level that just makes the situation even more heartbreaking.
