Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

i feel like the episodes are paced well and don't drag or fly by...but the plot developments are a bit of a slow burn

Basically this. I think it takes its time with the overall arc, which goes along with the show's whole thing about the gradual nature of change. I understand this can be frustrating for someone who is waiting for him to become the character from Breaking Bad. But the episodes themselves don't really feel slow to me. That said, this is also a show that had a minute-and-a-half long shot of an elderly woman ramping down a staircase and walking to her couch.

I haven't seen much in three way of slow character arc either so far. In fact, I kinda wish they'd slow down in that regard a bit.

But I'm also not frustrated by any of the things you describe above. I think this show is excellent and as I'm already enjoying it more than BB.

I just had different expectations. And that's okay.

Rank the potential three ways between characters in this show.

PS - The best scene is the one with the ants, and if you haven't seen it yet I'll just stop there.

Finished the sixth episode of S3 tonight. It'll probably be a week or so before I'm able to watch more. But I'm so fascinated by this show.

S3 is much more similar to Breaking Bad. It has that similar slower pace and amped tension. But obviously the tension is different. It's a very different show than S1 and S2. Not in a bad way, just in is natural evolution. Anyway, it's great. I'm loving the shit out of this journey.

Every episode of Better Call Saul (until S3E2) feels about ten minutes long. We cover so much ground in 21 episodes that it's seems impossible.

Most episodes of Breaking Bad (until the final season) felt methodical, tense and much longer than 43, mins.

When I think of the term "slow burn" I think of Mad Men. BCS is light speed compared to MM. And, to be clear, I'm taking about the pace of individual episodes more than the pace of the overall story unfolding.

Although, to that end, BCS as so far, has no wasted moves. Everything feels essential to the story. There's no filler. BB, on the other hand, had plenty. There were times when the show felt like it was spinning its wheels or backtracking for no reason other than poor writing.

BCS is a much better written show and so those lags aren't present. No yet, anyway. The only possible exception being the S2 premier. But they ended up handling that pretty well, all things considered.
