My boss just tried Dr. Pepper for the first time. She said, "oh, it's good. I thought it was going to be spicy. But it's good. It tastes like lipstick and dimetapp. And Cherry Coke."

She's a SUPER picky eater. There's a ton of stuff she doesn't/hasn't eaten/tried -- actually, a group of her friends had a dinner party group called NFS. Which stands for No Funny Stuff. Which she named because she said she'd be a part of the group but only if they all agreed, no funny stuff.

The only reason she tried it tonight is because my co-worker and I said we should try mixing rum and Dr. Pepper. And she said she would try that. But we told her she had to try Dr. Pepper on it's own first.

We've decided to call this cocktail (the rum & Dr. Pepper) a Covergirl. Partly because she said Dr Pepper tasted like lipstick and partly because her favorite band in New Kids on the Block.

I will never ever forget being on a family cruise vacation and this other family was always decked out in their Kansas Jayhawks gear and the food on the cruise ship is pretty much anything you want from any cuisine all the time, and they without fail ate sandwiches made of wonder bread, ham, and Kraft singles.
