Logan
I saw this in the cinema and I enjoyed it. Watched it again the other night and really enjoyed it. The relationship between Charles and Logan especially is wonderful and heartbreaking and completely natural. There’s so much in this film to love. The comic book elements can get a little jarring at points (the attack on the house and family being murdered, mainly). But other than that it’s such a good watch.

The Thing, another one of those I had seen parts of tv before but not it's full, uninterrupted 80s horror movie glory before. Obviously the effects are dated but it's still good. And Kurt Russell, of course, is especially excellent. Good movie to watch curled up under a blanket on a wintry night.

It was fun, some cool framing, cool acting but overall it felt lazy. Should have been better.
