I haven't seen a lot, but more than zero is more than I expected, considering it's a southern flag, or so I thought.
I think it can be viewed as a generic symbol of rebellion as well southern identity or slavery/racism.

I would say the symbols I find more common in this regard here would be things like Don't Tread On Me flags or NRA logos.

Here in Connecticut it’s flying two giant American flags from a pick up truck. I see the “don’t tread on me” shirts/signs a lot too.

What bugs me is when I see someone with a US flag and a rebel flag. Those are mutually exclusive. Pick one. You can't have both. Same with the Blue Line flag and a Gadsden flag, though I guess the Gadsden flag has some military ancestry, too.

Or how about Texas, going with six flags at once?

I had a confederate flag in my room as a teenager. We just saw it as a rebellious symbol, like James Hetfield’s weird beard or the 4 wheeler tracks you left all over your uncle’s newly planted soybean fields.
Because we were stupid, and the lack of cultural diversity deprived us of the points of view that might have helped us see the truth of it

Then you're not paying attention.
I'm team Burt on this one. The blue echo chambers of MA/NYC/Portland, OR were just as bad as the red echo chambers of rural WA, ID, and OR. The only real difference I can see is
how those echo chambers are created: in urban areas it's around lattes and yoga classes, in rural areas it's around monolithic radio stations and Fox News.
most of the echo in Portland is the antithesis of how I feel and it does a lot to push me away from them. the same can be said of the rural areas in OR/WA that I've been in.
I mean, the fuckers are flying rebel flags proudly and I'm like this isn't (and wasn't!) the south so wtf. the same is true in Portland with their stupid Cascadia flags. Not really a real thing but they sure want it to be.
That was bizarre to see when I moved up here. I thought I took a wrong turn and ended up back at home for a second.
The rural/urban divide seems especially pronounced here.
Yeah, just a little bit. You can go less than 20 minutes in almost any direction and be in the middle of rednecks.

Dr. Ronny is running for Congress in Texas. He was willing to blatantly lie on the president's physical. He'll probably win in a landslide.

That’s only the license plates in VA. My office lot is full of them.

When will the liberals here start to understand?
The #WalkAway movement is real. The African American community is leaving the Democrat Party. Even with the media and white liberals telling them that Trump is racist at every opportunity, they are seeing through the lies and leftist hate.
