I got rbi baseball 21.. I know the show is better, but I want it handheld.. im honestly pleasantly surprised.. I had like 17 or 18 n it was complete dogshit.. this is a huge improvement.. its not the show, but its good for what I want it for

I got this bad boy up and running last night, so I've been playing some classic games from my childhood.

Divinity: Original Sin 2

I'm already hooked on this shit, it's fantastic. Playing this has me pretty excited this company is doing the new DND game.

Watched a buddy of mine play that. It's meant to have some of the best combat in a CRPG.

It's very well-tuned. I played Pillars of Eternity (a similar game) and it had good writing but the battle mechanics were horrible. This ties everything together in a really tight way. Basically has no load times either, which absolutely plagued Pillars. I'm very impressed with it.

I loved Pillars because of those rich backgrounds more than anything. Definitely a love letter to Baldur's Gate, Plainscape: Torment, and even classic Fallout.

Yeah Pillars was beautifully designed in terms of art and world-building, just had some really shoddy shit under the hood. I eventually put it on super easy and fast forwarded through all the shitty combat because the story was so good. Did not go at all where I was expecting.

Playing Civ 6 again. Always a fun time. Do wish it was smarter though. If the level is too low, it's too easy. If the level is too high, the AI gets unfair advantages. And no matter what, their diplomacy is boring and stupid. While that doesn't sound good, I get a great sense of calm playing it. Enjoy building cities and planning ahead. Prefer winning through war.

Sweet. It can be overwhelming but don’t relent and you will be sufficiently rewarded for your exploits. And just breathe in the beauty of next gen in the meantime. Also don’t be ashamed to look up advice if you get stuck.

I played Bloodborne a few times so i'm at least familiar with the fundamentals. So far i've learned that checkpoints are not as common. I've yet to make it to my first one

Playing as the royalty class to start, since i saw that recommended for beginners. I'm liking the ranged magic so far.

still slowly picking away at this. It's tough when you've only got an hour at a time to play. From what i can gather through guides, i've finished 5/16 levels.
