Was reading back through some of the previous pages and was surprised by some of the takes, particularly the ones saying their later albums are their best. For me, I really think the QOTSA I love died when Homme’s health scares began. The music lost its swagger after that and became more morose and depressing. I don’t connect with that at all and I haven’t liked any of the albums after EV. They feel like Homme solo records to me, not QOTSA.
My ranking:
EV
SFTD
S/T
Rated R
LTP
Like Clockwork
Villains
ITNR
I will always love those first five records, though. Some of my favorite music ever.
I saw them live three times: 2007 (one of the best shows I’ve ever seen), 2011 (good), and 2017 (wish I hadn’t gone; left before the set was over).

Come on, dawg. ITNR shits all over Villains.

Meh all three of those bottom albums are largely interchangeable for me. I listened to ITNR once and I doubt I’ll ever listen to it again.

I used to play Villains on repeat a lot. Still likes a lot of the songs in it, but ITNR just kicks Villains ass, there is no discution.
The only songs I'm not huge are Obscenery and Peephole.
Everything eles (SPECIALLY Made to Parade, Emotion Sickness and Straight Jacket Fitting) are amazing shit.

INTR turns 1 today. I love this album so much still. I really think these guys are the best band out there right now.

As for my rankings…
1. SFD
2. LC
3. ITNR
4. LTP
5. EV
6. Rated R
7. Villains
8. ST
I don’t like ranking S/T last but someone has to be at the bottom. I think all the albums are great

The only LP missing from my collection is ST.
I've heard it a bunch of times, but nothing from that first one really grabs me, except for The Bronze.
Baffles my mind when I see someone go "meh" regarding LC-V-ITNR.

The only Queens album I don't have - nor have I given it enough time to have an opinion on is Lullabies

We're going to "whatever floats your boat" town.

Get on it Rangi, Lullabies is pretty awesome front to back.

Forever the best Queens album.

You should definitely try to track it down. "Someones In The Wolf" is an all-timer, and "Tangled Up in Plaid", "I Never Came" and "Long Slow Goodbye" aren't too far behind.

I assume this is something new but it reminds when they teased that Salt Mine thing.

This one seems a little more tangible but I know what you're saying, we have been burned before.

I seem to recall they mentioned that a while ago, playing the catacombs in Paris, should be an interesting one, hopefully an official release comes along, not just a stream.
