came back from my trip to NYC yesterday. It was awesome, we had great weather, we did everything we wanted and had so much fun but the greatest feeling was to be back with my mom after 32 years, that overall feeling of ¨yeah we are still here doing stuff¨.

Very happy we got to celebrate her 70s in this way.

I went back to the hotel and changed, so was much more comfortable. Of course on the way back from lunch, I was then too cold. Australian late autumn weather is weird.

Rough day today. First mother's day without my mom

this happened yesterday but quite embarrassed..we live in a high rise condo and we have a lot of trash cans out back..we've lived here for almost 1 year but I still dont recognize or know who lives here..my wife and came home and we brought trash from the car to toss out and there was a lady and her son that was probably 10 at the trash..she was going through a McDonalds bag while holding the heavy lid open. I felt terrible like I always do in those situations to my first thought was to give her cash..I had $40 and I handed it to her to her and she was also embarrassed and started laughing..we hadn't met yet but they live in our building and she was just separating trash because Canada makes you put stuff in 15 different cans...anyway, I felt so bad but we all had a good laugh...
