just started - that was true of breakerfall

i went song by song in the amtos thread, but this is, easily, the best of the atmos mixes thus far (at least on air pods). generally more clarity and separation without losing cohesion. there are some songs where you lose atmosphere, and occasional volume dynamics issues (think of the just breathe jump from verse to chorus). and there are a few songs that improve on the originals, either by slight alterations in vibe (thin air), leaning into what it does and giving you more/doing it better (rival, sleight of hand, of the girl), or transforming the song in subtle but real ways (parting ways)
Breakerfal: slight improvement
Gods’ Dice: same
evacuation: slight improvement (but still evacuation)
light years: slightly worse
nothing as it seems: worse
insignificance: same
thin air: slight improvement
of the girl: improvement
grievance: same
rival: improvement
sleight of hand: major improvement
soon forget: same
parting ways: improvement

if binaural was
Breakerfall - atmos
gods dice - atmos
evacuation- maybe atmos
light years - original
nothing as it seems - original
thin air - atmos
insignificance- original
of the girl - atmos
grievance - either
rival - atmos
sleight of hand - atmos
soon forget - either
parting ways - atmos
binaural moves up 2-4 spots in my rankings

NAIS, Of the Girl, Rival, Sleight of Hand, Soon Forget, Parting Ways.
to my ears - and maybe a few others here - Sleight of Hand has the biggest improvement with the atmos mix.

Stip is trolling again, NAIS sounds awesome on atmos.
Personally, I switch head tracking off on the airpods setting, this places you "fixed in the middle" of the mix. Very little volume bumps.

I'd say its well worth a shot... Head tracking is cool for a bit, but too distracting for me.
Check this out for a far better explanation:
