The Founders Harvest Ale gets a lot of attention (for good reason), but this is also fantastic.

Thanks to Skitch, I've now had (and become a giant fan of) Bell's Two-Hearted Ale and Founders' Harvest Ale. And I'm a big fan of Sierra Nevada Celebration thanks to Mr. Rail Road.
Perhaps Rob will be the next in a long line of recommenders whose taste excels?

Also, I tried Bell's Christmas Ale last night and it was SUPER good. What a lovely seasonal change up from Celebration.

Im so happy you love two hearted. And its really a shame that Harvest is only available on a very limited basis.

Just had it for the first time this past Sunday. We have this new bar in our neighborhood that specializes in craft beer sales. They didn't have it on tap, but they had a bottle in their fridge. It's really fucking good.

I'm not drinking for a month so this thread is kind of killing me. But it'll be over before Christmas so I'm planning on buying something really good. Anything amazing/seasonal y'all recommend? Price is of no consequence.

That a beer? If so, haven't had it. But I do ADORE Kentucky Bourbon and basically anything aged in bourbon barrels.

is that the one made by alltech? it's okay. when i lived in central kentucky, i had access to two local breweries that did bourbon-barrel aging perfectly, with bourbon barrels procured from distilleries within a 20-mile radius. simply divine.

Yeah. This stuff:

that's the one. lexingtonian beer snobs are groomed to disparage that beer in favor of the craft stuff. it'll do in a pinch, though. alltech is a pretty huge operation and the craft people always thought alltech was trying to bully them out of the burgeoning lexington craft beer scene (which really only took off in the three or so years before i moved away). i dated a girl who worked for alltech once. she told me on our second date that she did cosplay, and i told her in so many words that i think that's stupid. we didn't go out again.
