Marvel is kinda doing the same. The are tying to kill the x men franchise because of the movies.

There are still a million X-Books. The Fantastic Four however have been effectively gutted. Sucks.

but they still have their own stories and takes on the characters. It sounds like DC wants to copy the movies. If they do that, you know nothing Earth shattering can happen in the comics without first happening in the movies.

It's just a rumor Burt. An incredibly unlikely rumor. Sleep well.

Like 4 movies worth of ideas, all slammed together. There were at least 4 major fight sequences implied there, of increasing stupidity.

This movie could still be great, but only if Rick Moranis was playing Superman. No other changes to aesthetic or tone. Just Moranis.

Yeah. Spread out over a series of comics or even a series of films there are (allegedly) some ideas well worth exploring. I loved reading the cheat sheet and imagining what could be. But I still have very little faith that Snyder will be able to pull this off in any meaningful way.

Spoil them, please.
Spoiler: show
The interesting stuff mostly revolved around Batman. Barbara Gordon will be in this, already in a wheelchair. Not sure if she'll be Oracle or not. But the implication is that the events of The Killing Joke took place in this world. Jason Todd is "dead" but the backstory is different, still leaving it open for a return as Red Hood/Joker. Dick Grayson is alive. Stuff like that. But that's all backstory, background stuff.

I like that they're going with a Batman who enjoys hurting people. It helps amp up the stakes for him as a character but also why Superman is so against him.

I just fucking KNEW they'd have to show us and explain how Lex goes bald. And sure enough.... KRYPTONITE! But I actually like that idea in theory. Will depend on how it's presented.

Wonder Woman seems like she'll be a bigger role than most thought. That's awesome.

There are also some interesting early crossover things with Suicide Squad, which, again, may or may not be interesting, but I like them in theory.

Here's the article I read: http://screenrant.com/batman-v-superman ... /?view=all
So, nothing groundbreaking. But a lot to sink teeth into. And a lot to interest me in a way that's upsetting because I really don't want to care about this movie. I expect it to be terrible and lifeless and to fail to take advantage of its most interesting ideas.

Right. But all those references
Spoiler: show
appear in the dream sequence. Along with his little flying monkey people which we've seen in a couple of trailers now. I wanna know if they're gonna nut up and make put him in this thing or if it's all just Knightmare tease and cheese.

Isn't he in one of the trailers? Either way, I've seen some clip of him on top of a car that's racing down the street. And word is thatSuicide Squad takes place before the events of B v S. Makes sense.

I thought there had been confirmation from Devin Faraci (who read the shooting script) that those spoilers were all bogus.

I have no idea.

I tend to disbelieve all such "I've read the script/seen the movie" spoiler reviews (like the one I posted). Because people get fucking fired for breaking non-disclosure agreements and they never work again and it's not worth the risk. And the internet, duh.

That's why I said I like some of the ideas, whether or not they're bogus.

And here is the Reddit summary I think he alludes to as being correct: https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comment ... f_batman_v
