Some days I think Nico Hulkenberg might be my favorite driver. His race craft is insane. So many overtakes in what is a pretty average car.96583UP wrote:Sauber showing up all the sudden that was a surprise

Super weird one ; six cars being broken at the start! Kinda feel bad for Colapinto. His year was not good even if his car really sucks; its going to be hard for him thinking about next year.

So happy for Hulk. 239 starts and he got his first ever podium. 19th to 3rd is an insane drive. Where the fuck is Ruddo?
I've only been watching F1 for about ~6 years, but that's the most rain I've ever seen them continue to drive in. Hadjar's onboard was terrifying. He didn't see the car in front until it was right in front of him. Crazy shit.
Piastri was being cheeky braking that dramatically under safety car. Possibly trying to bait out a Max penalty? Who knows, but he deserved his 10 second pen. and asking for the place back from Lando was really quite unhinged. We haven't seen that side of him before today.

Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
missed the race bc was doing some beach time
that rain looked cray cray
i wouldn't drive a regular car 15 mph in that let alone a race car 200 mph
nice to see Lando catching a few breaks to even things out more with him and Oscar
super happy for Nico! he is such a nice guy. like crazy nice.

Extremely spicy times. Was it purely results based, or did he fumble the Max contract? The latter would support the rumors of Max heading to Merc.

Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
yeah seeing that now... did not realize Max to Merc was a thing again ... makes sense
this is what I get for missing the last two races to do things outside!
also seeing rumors of Horner to Ferrari in place of Vasseur?
Weird times
Newey to Aston Martin was the first domino

Hamilton DotD with his 20th to 7th. Sick drive by him.
Hadjar unlucky to suffer power unit issues while Lawson is in the points again. Yuki's nightmare continues.
Actually not as boring as many people are saying. If they went racing earlier I think we would've lost a quarter of the grid in the opening lap. I guess it depends on what you're into.

Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
Charles squeaking out pole
love to see it
although i figure the odds of piastri over-taking on the first lap or two are decent
Hamilton in tatters
Antonelli rut continues
Tsunoda out of a job soon? Maybe they just wait for next year before doing anything radical

Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
Feel so bad for Hamilton. Dude straight up called himself "useless". Sir, you're the goat. Chill.
I think if Yuki started the season with Red Bull he'd have been thoroughly yeeted by now, but they've come under so much fire for the situation with their second seat that they'll likely hold off for now.
Agree that Piastri passes LeClerc early, but that was a great quali from him.
