I have no idea what's going to happen tonight. But here's what I do know...
This Chiefs team has been incredible to watch this year. They are focused, prepared, competitive, driven, disciplined, talented, young, scrappy and hungry. They are executing on all three levels (offense, defense and special teams). I believe that if the Chiefs play their best football and the Steelers play their best football, at Arrowhead, the Chiefs will win. I think this Chiefs team, at their best, are better than this Steelers at theirs.
But that's why they play these games. The Steelers are a great team, and a huge, history franchise. There's a reason why they're always in these contests. It won't be easy. It probably won't be pretty. And there's a more than fair chance that a few things don't go our way, we make a few mistakes, or the Steelers execute better and take advantage and win this game. I'm not delusional. This will not be a gimme type game. The Chiefs will have to be at their best. But these Steelers are tough and know how to take advantage of opponent mistakes.
If that happens, if The Steelers win, I'll be bummed. But I won't be too bummed for too long. This Chiefs team played its heart out this year and it's been one of the best seasons of Chiefs football I've had the pleasure to experience. And that's not nothing. It's been a helluva ride and I'm not ready for it to end.
