Is that not just an annual? Like a supplementary bumper extra long issue ?
I buy them like that. This Vader series will be in four books. Excellent story, and a great format for reading them, even if it's a little bit expensive.

They did. And it's exactly who you thought it was. Or at least what fan theories have thought. So it's basically canonizing that.

I'm about 8-9 issues behind on it right now. The last issue came out this week. I plan on finishing them in one big binge over the next few days. Same for the regular series.

I haven’t read the final two or three issues but he heard what’s happened.
Biggest hope to take away from it is their opening the door for something on Plageuis. I’ll take that in any format book or comic.

One of the most overlooked (or under-considered) aspects of the prequel trilogy is Yoda's comment on the prophecy, thereby giving voice to Lucas's ideas about the flimsy and untrustworthy nature of prophecy. The point of the prophecy is that they got it wrong. Lucas via Yoda is trying to tell us not to put stock in prophecy. The Prophecy of the Chosen One makes no damn sense by design. It's not supposed to make sense. It's just a dumb prophecy. The Jedi putting their faith in it, is another flaw within the order as a whole.
Except this is undercut a bit by the virgin birth, isn't it. SOMETHING is going on - it's not just some mystical nonsense that an order of ascetic monks happen to believe
Not at all. The "Virgin Birth" is explained implicitly by Darth Sidious. It's a Dark Side move, a manipulation. It's no more mystical than the Force itself.

Sidious created Anakin, not divine intervention or some prophecy.

That’s not canon at all. It is something they have suggested and left dangling but it has no basis in truth

If I was a betting man, I'd absolutely put money down on it, yes. I think they are/will. But we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Maybe the Benioff Weiss film could be on that. A reach I know but they’re making a series of films. That suggests to me a rolling contract probably with an opt out depending on the success of the last one? ‘Series of films’ doesn’t necessarily mean related.
Do they have the chops to create a whole new set up of world building totally separate to established canon? I hope they do

So it’s seems one of the story group has walked back the ‘big’ thing we’re all talking about. It’s not meant to be taken literally and if you look closely
Spoiler: show
Shmee is already pregnant when that part happens in the comic
I haven’t had a chance to catch up with them yet so I don’t know either way.

The whole thing is an hallucination anyway. It's more of a vision quest than a literal event. You'll see when you get to it. I totally understand that it's not meant to be literal, just like in the actual films it's an implication more than an explicit statement of fact. But I think it's safe to say, given all the evidence across multiple media now, that it's a thing.

This is good. There are some things in the prequels that are often taken literally (and in a negative light), where what Lucas intended was in fact something you understand when paying full attention.
