I’ve been keen on this band for about a year now. First time I’ve felt relevant and cool in a long time!

It really falls off after 14,400, Nostalgia and Missing You. He put Acid Rap up on Spotify, ima listen to that instead.

Oh shit. I don't know enough about this guy to understand the weird adds to his streaming. I feel better now.

I don’t stream anything but form what I’ve heard you could only stream his albums on SoundCloud up until Friday.

10 Day was 2010 I think. Then Acid Rap and so on. Acid Rap is a fucking classic.

New Bon Iver album is coming out on August 30. i,i features the already released singles "Hey, Ma" and "U (Man Like)" and two more songs were released along with the album announcement, "Jelmore" and "Faith." Press release indicates that the album closes the seasonally-themed tetralogy of Bon Iver's four albums with i,i representing autumn (For Emma, Forever Ago was winter, Bon Iver, Bon Iver was spring, and 22, A Million was summer).

I don’t think I’ve felt cool for at least 10 years

Without question the album I am most looking forward to coming out this year is Chastity Belt's Chastity Belt, due on 20th September. These guys are fantastic and I am still spewing that when they came to Oz last year and played some double-headliner sets with Camp Cope that they only did the East Coast.

Here's the lead single Ann's Jam, typical shoegazey poppy stuff.

Gavin Johnson was the bassist of Cambridge, UK instrumental rock band Gwei-lo whose brief career in the late '90s was suddenly snuffed out with the onstage death of their guitar player Al Brooker from a heart attack at age 24. Earlier this year Johnson started a website chronicling the details of his musical career including his time in Gwei-lo. As part of this he has released two compilation albums of Gwei-lo material consisting of demos, outtakes, remixes, etc. They're available on most of the major digital platforms; Spotify, Amazon, Apple. Demos & Rarities is made of the demos that the band recorded prior to getting signed for their only album and some cast-off tracks. Frontside - Backside & Demos is older material from when the band was still known as Smegma and consists of the tracks from their self-released tape and a few other demos they recorded before changing their name.

Furthermore, the self-titled LP and EP are also now available on all of those digital sources, and more info can be found at Gavin's site: https://thejohnsonsound.com/

And Brett - that's incredibly sad about their guitarist dying at 24 on stage of a heart attack. On the flipside, changing their name from Smegma was probably a solid move though.

Nas- The Lost Tapes 2!

Disappointing. Tapes should have stayed lost.
