Well folks, another year another time to reassess old habits. It's a testament to this Whole30 diet that I am not doing it this year. After two years of disciplined January eating, I know what certain food does or doesn't do for me. I tread lightly around those foods in a common sense way.
Not keeping any hard and fast rules, but will actively avoid the following as much as I can/need to for the month of January: sugar, gluten, dairy.
Hard pass to the following for at least a month, probably more: alcohol. I have a feeling that a month of half marathon training booze-free is going to make it very hard to pick back up while in the thick of it. For the best.

I've basically stopped drinking, I've had maybe five drinks since November 9th, and before that I'd had maybe 10 since August. I still feel like absolute shit every single morning, I don't have any increased energy or better digestive health, but I have maintained a good weight without thinking about it and I get more work done by virtue of not being hungover. So I'll probably keep doing it, but I also feel a little ripped off.

Nice to see the thread bumped. I'm not doing this in 2023 by the way.
