I don't think so, but I don't really know.

I can tell you that, having worn them for my job, the n95 masks are not very comfortable, especially for prolonged use.

Do you wear a mask through all of flu season? You're a lot more likely to get killed by the flu.

In an event where the coronavirus becomes a widespread, you would have better chances of being killed by it than the flu. It has a much higher mortality rate, and a longer period when you are both contagious and asymptomatic.

Of course, if you’re not old, have health insurance, and are not burdened by preexisting conditions...you’re not much at risk of death in either case.

Sounds like it's having a big impact on the economy if nothing else. Hitting on Chinese New Year makes it a petty big deal.

Our medical supply company has masks on back order.

We just had an all-call for all of the hospitals under us for a listing of specific emergency supplies, masks among them. I guess we're ramping up as well.

If Macao is shutting casinos for two weeks, there is serious concern. Modern healthcare systems like in US/EU can probably handle a four figure outbreak without catastrophe, but nations with large impoverished classes like India or areas in Africa already strained by disease could be hit very hard.

The videos I see online do not match the story we are getting. People are being trapped in their homes with their doors welded shut, people are collapsing in the street, bodies are piling up in hospitals, and people are being arrested for reporting this.
Dr Li was 34 years old and healthy before dying from this virus. This is not a normal virus that is affecting the old. Something is very very wrong here.
